' The Empress ' Sketch!

I am just jumping on to drop this first pencil drawing of my new sketch, “The Empress!” This is something that I started out working on as a fun sketch while my wife and I had our kids at storytime at our local library a few weeks ago. I worked on it there mostly with a few days of doodling otherwise. I recently was given the question about painting it and thought it would be a great way to practice my digital painting in preparation for the ‘Bots Amusement Park’ story that I am currently crafting!

I will jump on every now and then to make quick posts showing the progress and explaining the process of getting this to be an awesome painted piece. This is a very special piece to me because the illustration’s likeness is based on someone very dear to me.
